KrakenKeys compares PC game prices across official stores like Steam, GOG, Humble and Fanatical, and across keyshops like Kinguin, Gamivo and Driffle. You can see where a game is cheapest right now, how its price has changed over time, and whether today's price is its lowest ever. We track daily prices for 173,000+ games across 21 stores.

Keyshops sell keys that were bought in bulk, came from bundles, or were bought in regions where games cost less. Sellers can price below Steam because their costs are lower. The key is the same one you'd get from Steam and activates the same way. The only difference is where it came from.

KrakenKeys only list keyshops we trust. Every store is vetted before added, dropped if it stops being reliable, and has a review on KrakenKeys covering how it works, what buyer protection it offers, and what to watch out for. Check the key's region before you buy, and be wary of marketplace sellers with few ratings. If you'd rather stick to official stores, you can hide keyshops completely.

Steam sales help, but they're smaller and less predictable than most people think. Across 114,000+ games we track, Steam's typical sale discount was 30%, and 18% of games weren't discounted in their first six months. When a game is cheaper on another store, the typical saving is 73% (see the full data). Check the game's price history before waiting for a sale, or set a price alert and we'll email you when it hits your price.

No, we don't sell anything. We send you to the store, and if you buy, some stores pay us a small commission. That never changes the price you pay, and it doesn't change which store we show as cheapest.

Open Steam and click Games → Activate a Product on Steam (or Add a Game → Activate a Product in the newer client). Enter the key and follow the prompts. The game then appears in your library as if you'd bought it on Steam. If it fails, check the key's region first, because that's the most common reason.
