GamersGate Review

Is GamersGate Legit? Our Quick Verdict

Yes, GamersGate is a genuinely official digital distributor, not a marketplace of random sellers. It began as Paradox Interactive's own download system in 2006 and became an independent company in 2008, and it still works directly with publishers rather than listing keys from third parties. It holds a 4.5 out of 5 rating on Trustpilot, based on a smaller number of reviews than some bigger stores, but a strong score all the same.

Pros and Cons

Pros

• Official digital distributor, not a marketplace. Keys come from direct publisher partnerships
• One of the longest running PC game stores, trading since 2006
• Automatic delivery straight after payment
• Support replies to all negative reviews, usually within 24 hours

Cons

• Refunds close as soon as the download or key reveal begins, so only proceed once you are sure

• A smaller review base than some larger stores, so there is less data to go on
