Fast. Exciting. Deadly.
The Golden Era of open-wheel racing is about to begin. Do you have what it takes to lead an iconic team through one of the most exciting decades of motorsport history?
As the head of a team, you'll make pivotal decisions that shape the destiny of your drivers and the performance of your cars. Allocate your budget wisely across drivers, support staff, car development, and sponsorships to gain an edge over the competition. Manage big personalities to get the most out of every member of your team.
But don’t forget –
r
acing in this era is unpredictable and intense. Golden Lap is no ordinary motorsport management game.
Safety measures are improving, but accidents can happen. Car technology is advancing in leaps and bounds. You aren’t racing spreadsheets, and there’s no such thing as a guaranteed win – which makes victory all the sweeter.
Lead Your Team To Pole Position
Every season is an opportunity to etch your name in racing history. Whether you're turning a back-marker team into a championship contender or taking on the pressure of maintaining a dynasty, your decisions between races and championships will be the key to your legacy.
Hire the right crew, develop your cars, make the right calls on race day, and meet your sponsors’ goals. All while making sure not to go broke!
Your Legacy Awaits
Build a winning team with drivers, a head engineer and a crew chief. Every hire comes with rich personality traits that affect everything from finances to car performance and skill behind the wheel.
A driver with rich parents may look like they’ve saved your team by helping out with money - until they turn out to be a party animal and cost you the championship by showing up tired on race day. Your head engineer might bring down the rest of your team with their grumpy attitude, but if they’re a magician with a wrench it might be worth it? Only you can judge what your team needs.
Minimalist Style, Maximum Strategy
Golden Lap is a minimalist take on the racing strategy genre, with an intuitive UI that displays only essential information and makes it clear what each decision means – though it won’t make the decisions themselves any easier!
The amount of options and information involved in motorsport can be overwhelming for someone not familiar with it. Golden Lap cuts out the micromanagement and lets you focus on the big picture, with depth where it matters.
Unleash your creativity through the power of modding
