Blade Blazer
is an urban-xianxia turn-based JRPG developed by SunglassCat Studio.
The story takes place in a modern xianxia city called
Swirl-wind City
, where humans and Yaos coexist peacefully, and the cultivation civilization has evolved for five hundred years. You will play as Lan Ying, a young Warrior from the White Ling Sect, and her mysterious partner
Jade
, a celestial being who can transform into the divine sword
“Jade Sword”
. Together, you embark on a journey to find your missing father, meet a variety of companions, search for the Five Element Soul Stones, transform into various Arcanies, and ultimately fight against the demons to save Swirl-wind City.
Breaking the framework of traditional genres,
Blade Blazer
brings a refreshing xianxia JRPG experience through its art style, narrative, world, and gameplay.
Five Districts – Each with Its Own Flavor
From the arcades of
Jinyaofang
, the hotpot restaurants of
Yanwujie
, to the earthen buildings of
Yaowangyuan
… the five districts of Swirl-wind City are steeped in the cultures of Lingnan, Sichuan-Chongqing, and Hakka Chaoshan. The cultivation civilization has found its own path to “modernization”, hiding unexpected rules and jokes in every corner. You can also explore outdoor box gardens, dive into sewers, caves, and hidden realms. The charm of this city awaits your discovery.
2v2 PVE Dual Battles – Counter Every Move
Dual battles are not simply two-on-two. You must command two characters simultaneously, use the Five Elements counter system to break enemy lines, and make strategic decisions between mana management and character switching—defend with type resistance, or go all out for a quick KO? Each character has a unique passive skill, and with a skill system, you can freely build your skill sets, making every turn full of possibilities.
Shape Shifts, Arcanie Companions
Every companion has both a human form and an Arcanie form. Fire types ignite mechanisms, water types dive and explore, metal types cut through thorns. The protagonist can even scan the environment with special items to transform into various Arcanies. Puzzle-solving is not about finding keys, but about using your companions’ abilities to uncover hidden areas and treasures.
Jianghu Chronicles – Growth Through Stories
Build your “Jianghu Chronicles” with dozens of companions. Simply complete their exclusive side stories to unlock second passive skills, battle stat bonuses, and special dialogue options that affect side quest outcomes. No need to grind affection – just immerse yourself in the story, and growth will come naturally.
Pop Graffiti × Street Punk × Neo-Chinese Style
Fully hand-drawn 2D, high saturation colors, bold shapes, dynamic UI – the collision of pop graffiti and manga style creates a strong visual impact. Rebellious, cool, and unyielding – we paint this unique xianxia world with a unique attitude. Every district has its own original electronic theme song, where traditional folk melodies are deconstructed and infused with the energy of electronic beats. 2D is not a compromise; it’s a choice.
